Emmanuel Cant
is interested in the existence of God but is unable to love anyone. He was not a friend to
anyone.
These are small things, and these people are great philosophers. But I repeat again: they are
cowards.
A woman asked Emmanuel Kant... she had waited long, because it is not the way of the woman's
heart to take the initiative, that looks ungraceful. But life is short. You cannot wait too long.
And
youth is even shorter, and beauty is just a flower that blossoms in the morning and is withered
by
the evening. Finally the woman - against the feminine nature, against herself - asked Emmanuel
Kant: "I love you. Do you love me? Just a small `yes' and I can wait for my whole life."
But Emmanuel Kant could not say yes. He said, "First I have to think about it." It took him three
years to consult all the books of different races, countries, of different centuries, to collect
data
about marriage - for and against. And he was very much puzzled because they were all balanced.
There were reasons in favor of marriage and there were reasons against marriage and their weight
was equal.
His servant - he lived his whole life with a servant - had been watching all these three years.
He
said, "Listen to me: I am not a philosopher, I am a poor man, your servant, and it is none of my
business but there is a limit. I have been repressing my temptation to say something to you and
today I have decided to say it.
"When you have gone to the university, I have been looking into your notes for and against
marriage.
They are equal; hence you cannot take any decision. Just one thing I want to say to you: that is
that
you have not experienced love. And all these arguments are impotent, they cannot give you any
experience. My humble suggestion is, when both sides are equally weighty and decision is
difficult,
always decide for `yes' because that is opening a door to experience. `No' will close the door to
experience."
Emmanuel Kant could not believe that this thought had never occurred to him. He rushed, knocked
on the woman's door. An old man came out. He introduced himself: "I am Emmanuel Kant and
perhaps you are the father of the woman. I have come to say yes."
The old man said, "It is too late. She is already married and she has two children. Go and knock
on
some other door."
But he was such a coward, he could not gather courage to approach another woman. All his great
philosophy.. . and the same is the case with all other great philosophers. But nobody has looked
into the psychology - why are they interested in absurd, meaningless problems and not in the real
problems of life? Real problems need courage.
One great philosopher of India, a contemporary man, Dr. Ranade - he was the most respected and
the most learned scholar, logician; he was a professor of philosophy at the University of Allahabad.
In his days, the department of philosophy at the University of Allahabad had become the most
prominent department of philosophy in India, and India has almost one thousand universities.
I had seen him just a few days before he died. He was very old, retired, but still people used to
come from far and wide - not only from this country but from all over the world - to ask
questions,
to inquire.
I was sitting with him. He said to me: "What are your questions?"
I said, "I know not."
"Then why have you come to me?"
I said, "Just to see you and to see the people who are continually coming to you from morning
till
night."
I watched him for almost six hours, and all the people who came had come with abstract questions:
"Does God exist? Is the soul a reality? Is there life beyond death?" And he was answering them.
After six hours, I said to him: "You are old, and I'm too young - it doesn't look right for me to
say,
but perhaps we may not see each other again; forgive me if it hurts you: You have wasted your
whole life. In these six hours, I have seen in what way you have wasted it. I have not heard a
single
question or a single answer that really concerns life. And these people have come from faraway
places and you have lived a long life but as far as I am concerned... don't feel that I'm not
respectful
to you, I am saying this because I am respectful. Whatever small time you have left, don't waste
it.
At least in the evening of your life, inquire into something which is authentic."
He was shocked, because nobody had ever told him this. But he was an honest man. He said, "I
am old, and you are young but you are right."
The real question is not whether life exists after death. The real question is whether you are
alive
before death.
The real question is not whether God is love - just, fair, compassionate. The real question is,
do you
know what love is? Do you know what justice is? Do you know what compassion is? Have you lived
and tasted all these treasures of existence?
The real question is not whether the soul exists or not. The real question is: Have you ever
entered
into yourself to see whether there is any inner reality, or are you just a container without any
content? The people who are so much interested in the
abstract are really escaping from the real problems of life. They are cowards, not philosophers.
But
these cowards are dominating the whole world's thinking. Karl Marx has rightly said, "philosophers have made the world, the point is, to change it".

Installing Love on the Human Computer:
Tech Support: Yes, how can I help you?
Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to
install Love. Can you guide me through the process?
Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?
Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?
Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?
Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?
Tech Support: What programs are running ?
Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.
Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off ?
Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me
how?
Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been
completely erased.
Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?
Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.
Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error - Program not run on external components." What should I do?
Tech Support: Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before
you can Love others.
Customer: So, what should I do?
Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.
Customer: Okay, done.
Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming.
Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.
Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files.Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?
Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running.
One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.
Customer: Thank you, God.
God/Tech Support: You're Welcome, Anytime.

In a master's small cottage far away from the town, one fullmoon night a thief
entered.
The master was awake. He had only one thing, a blanket - half he used as his mattress and half
to cover himself. In the day, he used the same blanket to cover his nakedness because he had no
other clothes.
Seeing the man in the fullmoon night - because the doors were open, the windows were open and
the moon was coming in.... The thief was well known. The master closed his eyes, because to keep
your eyes open... if the thief knows it, it is disrespectful to his humanity. If he has come
miles from
the town to steal from a poor master's house, he must be in great need.
He wept. He covered himself under the blanket... "What will he find in my house? He will have to
go
eight miles again empty-handed. If he had just informed me two or three days before, I could have
begged all over the town, collected something for him. This is not the right way to come to a
poor
man's house." He is not concerned that he is a thief. He is concerned that he has nothing that
the
man can steal and be satisfied.
Inside the house there was darkness, and the master was worried - he may stumble, fall, may get
hurt. So he lit a candle and went inside, following the thief.
The thief looked back: suddenly the light had come into the darkness, and as he saw the master,
he
was frozen with fear. "If this man says a single word, the whole town is going to believe him."
But the master said, "Don't be afraid. I have come just to help you. Inside the house it is very
dark.
Moreover, for thirty years I have lived in this house and I have not found anything. Just accept
me as
a partner: whatever we find, we can divide it fifty-fifty. Or, if you want to keep it all, that
too is okay
because I have not been able to find anything. It is yours; you are the finder."
The heart of the thief was touched. He had heard the word "compassion" but now he came to know
it for the first time in his life. No condemnation, no judgment. On the contrary, he was going to
help
him to steal from his own house.
The thief said, "Just forgive me, master. I was unaware that it was your house; otherwise, I
would
not have dared to enter."
The master said, "But you cannot go empty-handed, and I have only this blanket. Outside it is too
cold. Please, accept this blanket."
He gave his blanket and the thief was amazed that he was naked inside - that was all he
possessed.
The thief tried to persuaded him....
The master said, "Don't wound me any more. Next time when you come just let me know in advance;
I will make arrangements, and if you need a certain thing you can mention that too. There are so
many lovers in this town, so many disciples and devotees, I assure you. I am ashamed because my
blanket is old. It is not worth giving to anyone... but just see my helplessness and be kind
enough
to accept it. I will remain grateful to you for my whole life."
The thief was in a dilemma: what to do? He had never seen such a man. He touched the feet of the
master, took the blanket - because now it was too difficult to refuse - and rushed out of the
home,
because it was getting too hard to remain in his presence. He had seen emperors and he had seen
generals but he had never seen a human being.
As he was going out, the master said, "Remember, don't forget. You have made me so happy. For
my whole life, I have been a beggar. I have never known the joy of giving. You have turned me
from a beggar into an emperor by receiving my old and rotten blanket. Your heart is large, your
understanding is deep. Come again and again."
As the thief left, the master was sitting, shivering. It was so cold... and he saw the full moon
from
his window and he wrote a small haiku which means:
Why has the existence made me so poor?
Only this moment, encountering the thief
I have felt my poverty. If I could give him this beautiful moon, I would have given it also.
The question is not whether the person to whom you are giving something deserves it or not. The
question is whether he needs it or not. Give to him out of love; give out of respect. Don't
destroy
anybody's dignity.
AND WHAT DESERT GREATER SHALL THERE BE THAN THAT WHICH LIES IN THE COURAGE
AND THE CONFIDENCE, NAY THE CHARITY, OF RECEIVING?
This is simply a virgin statement. Nobody - no Krishna, no Buddha, no Jesus - has ever been able
to assert such a deep truth: ...the charity of receiving. They have all been talking about the
charity
of giving.

THE HIGHER YOU BOUNCE.
SO WHEN YOU FEEL YOU ARE AT THE LOWEST,
REMEMBER YOU ARE GOING TO BOUNCE BACK HIGHER....................

What is God?
The infinity - knowledge of the `knowing-ness' of the infinity - and bliss. This `knowing-ness' of consciousness is all pervading.
So this space is full of that consciousness; that's why it is called chidakash - the space is not an empty space. The space has a mind of its own. It is stuffed with knowledge and consciousness. And it is infinite. One name is given to the three aspects - that is called Brahman. There will be no problem for any atheist to believe in such a Brahman, in having such a God.
And this consciousness, this space that is all pervading, is the basis of creation because the creation has come from this, is sustained by it, and will go back to it. Just like the outer space, so is the material space.
The building you are in now exists in space, and when the building is brought down or knocked down, still the space remains; and again another building is built in the space. The space will remain the same.
So is the Brahman. It is indestructible. This universal consciousness, of which all the little bodies and human beings are part of, is immortal, eternal and stays forever.
Where is such consciousness? Where is this thick existence of life, the ocean of life?
The Rishis say - it is behind you, in front of you, to the left, to the right, all over. That is chidakasha; that is the space of consciousness.
What ate our bodies? Bodies are just an expression of this space. The five attributes of self are:
1 : truth,
2 : consciousness,
3 : bliss,
4 : eternal
5 : complete or total.
There is a saying in Sanskrit: expression distorts the truth.
What is Truth?( Refer What is truth ( Satya) - Sri Sri )
Truth is. The moment you express it, it is already distorted. Truth is that force. Truth is what is. Truth is the state; it's not what is said. Suppose someone tells you that you are a liar, or someone accuses you of something that you have not done or of stealing something, you confront him, right? You say No, (you haven't done that). Now, you would have observed that what you say in words is not so important as is the state of your consciousness behind that No. You have said that No with some power, some force. Your words are not the Truth but that force behind the word is true consciousness. .
Suppose sitting in Chennai you are told that you're in Paris right now, immediately you will say, "No. I am in Chennai ." There is a force behind your expression. That is truth. And that force is full of consciousness, alertness and liveliness. And that force is also blissful - Satchitananda. .
These are the three characteristics of your soul,
your being,
your innermost: truth,
consciousness and bliss.
You are like an onion. Once you are peeled, and peeled, and peeled, you will find that in the centre core of your existence are these three things. And these, in a bigger magnitude, are called nitya - eternal, unchanging, paripurna - very total, whole.
Rishis said, ``Meditate on these five attributes of Brahnan in thy mind and realise". What is meditation? Meditation is getting in touch with this aspect of life - to be in the space that you are.
You sit just to Meditate or dissolve in the inner space and then, what happens?
Some clouds of thought come through. Clouds are not the sky. They come and go. If you follow the cloud you will go to the end of the cloud. You will miss the sky. You just be. Let the cloud come, pass, go. Thoughts, ideas, feelings and emotions will come, clear the air in a few minutes and then you are infinite space, untouched by any of these thoughts, ideas, and emotions..
Meditation is, to be in touch with these five attributes of your self. This immortal, non dual, indivisible, formless Atman, or Self, is to be realized by one's own self by constant and deep meditation.

Once upon a time there was a king was called Indradyumna and after a long reign he passed away and went to heaven, where he spent centuries, enjoying the rewards of his good deeds on earth. Then, one day, the gods told him, “Indradyumna, you have have to go back to earth. You are no longer welcome in heaven.”
“Why?” asked a perplexed Indradyumna. “Because,” said the gods, “No one on earth remembers your good deeds.” “But how can that be?” wondered the king, “I spent all my life doing good deeds.” “If,” said the gods, “You can find at least one creatures who remembers you for your good deeds then you can come back to heaven. Otherwise you will have to leave. That is the rule.”
Time flows differently on earth than in heaven. When Indradyumna reached earth, he realized that centuries had passed since his reign. The trees were different, the people were different, even his kingdom looked different. Who will remember me, he wondered. The buildings he built were all gone. The temples he built were no where to be seen. The people who were beneficiaries of his largesse were all dead. No one he met remembered any king called Indradyumna.
Disheartened, Indradyumna went in search of the oldest man on earth. He found Rishi Markandeya. But the Rishi did not remember him. “There is an owl who is older than me,” said the sage, “Go to him.” Markandeya did as advised. He found was owl and asked him, “Do remember King Indradyumna?” and the owl said, “No, I do not remember such a king but ask the stork who is older than me.” Even the stork did not remember. “But I know someone who is much older than me, who may know of King Indradyumna,” said the stork, “He is an old tortoise who lives in a lake.”
Indradyumna went to the tortoise who was very old and slow and tired. But, to Indradyumna’s great relief, he did remember a king called Indradyumna. “He built this lake,” said the tortoise.
“But I never built this lake,” said Indradyumna, rather bewildered by this piece of information. “This lake did not even exist when I was king.”
The tortoise explained, “My grandfather never lied. He told me that this king spent his entire life giving cows in charity, hundreds of thousands of cows?” Indradyumna recollected that he had. He had been told that gifting cows assures one a place in heaven. Yes, it had, but only for temporarily. Now, where were his cows? Where were the people who he gave the cows?
The tortoise continued, “As these cows left Indradyumna’s city, they kicked up so much dust it created in a depression in the ground; when the rains came water collected this depression and turned it into a lake. Now that lake provides sustenance to innumerable plants and animals and worms and weeds and fishes and turtles and birds. So we remember the great King Indradyuna, whose act of charity resulted in a lake which for generations has been our home.”
Indradyumna was pleased to hear what the tortoise had to say. So were the gods who welcomed him back. As Indradyumna rose to heaven, the irony did not escape him: he was remembered on earth for a lake that was unconsciously created, and not for the cows that was consciously given. He benefited not from things he did, but from the impact of things he did.
This story draws attention to the notion of legacy. In ancient India, the greatest good deed that outlived anyone was go-daan or gift of a cow. In modern times, most unfortunately, this is literally translated.
In a cattle-herding community, gifting cows was gift of a livelihood. But as society evolved, the phrase was carried forward to convey a different meaning. It came to mean “gift of an opportunity.”
The greatest gift a man can give another man is an opportunity that will enable the other to survive, to grow and to thrive. This could be education or a job or a loan to start a business. Gifting cows is about ‘teaching a man to fish’ as the Chinese proverb goes; it is not about ‘giving him fish’.

If God Start Advertising…
1. If you miss the sunrise I made for you today, never mind. I’ll make you another one tomorrow.
2. Could you imagine the price of air if it were brought to you by another supplier?
3. Please don’t drink and drive, you are not quite ready to meet me yet.
4. What do I have to do to get your attention? Take out an AD in the paper?
5. Don’t forget your umbrella; I might water the plants today.

" Some people say success is out of their reach; more than likely that could be because they are not working for it. Once you give up, it is easy to go downhill and constantly experience negative thoughts. Stay hopeful, work hard, take advantage of your resources, and success will come. People help people that are trying to help themselves."

The difference between a performer and a non-performer
A non-performer does not perform BECAUSE OF...
A performer performs INSPITE OF...
Everyone faces problems... But more important is the attitude towards them...

Be Like One ....
ONE
One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey.
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true,
One life can make a difference,
You see, it's up to you!
Realize the power of ONE !!!
Out of clutter, find Simplicity.
From discord, find Harmony.
In the middle of difficulty lies Opportunity.

Have a Nice Day
The secret of life is to make the best
of whatever comes along,
Make every day fresh and new,
Go in search of knowledge and experience.
Let your questions and
your answers reconcile.
Do your best to remember
that the best kind of learning curve
is an educated smile.
Share your magic with the people
who share your memories.
Let your feelings run deep.
Be in touch with the people
who live in your heart.
Be a caring person who plays for keeps.
To really know what success means, earn it.
Don't rely on some elevator to get you there.
The higher the floor you want to reach,
the more important it is to take the stairs.
Appreciate the little things
that make each day
unique and special.

" Your thoughts are the most powerful tool that you have, and can create so many things in your life. They can open up doorways you never thought possible. Your thoughts can be positive or they can be negative. They can be bad or good. They can be about success, or failure, or about being wealthy in life, or being of poor circumstances. Your thoughts are, what you choose them to be. The most important thing of all, is that you recognize and understand, that you are guided and directed by your thoughts. They play a tremendous role in your day to day life, and in reality, a huge role in who you are today. Today, and in the future, think thoughts that will shape you into who you only dream of being. Your thoughts will direct you to where you want to go, and your action behind your thoughts will take you there."
Realize that our thoughts are like a steering wheel and direct us.
