Then why is it that we still have female foeticide and infanticide, child marriages, crime against women are on the rise. Basically, our respect for women is restircted to those who can give us something.Namely godesses, women bosses and mother.
I've done my bit as a citizen of this country by deciding to be parent of a single girl child, now in XI th class. wish more could be done.
Sad commentary for civilisation as old as ours.

Break through all the barriers and feel that you Are Blessed. This Is
The One And Only Step You Have To take - the rest will all happen.
This deep sense of feeling that "I am blessed" can help you overcome any
obstacles in life. It gives you courage and confidence and it will open
your lid for grace to be poured in.
Once you realize that you are blessed, then:
All the complaints disappear
All the grumbling disappears
All the insecurities disappear
A sense of feeling unloved disappears
Wanting love disappears.
If you don't realize you are blessed, then the doership begins. If you
want to make a difference in your life, feel you are blessed. And
especially for those on this path of knowledge, there is no reason for
you to not feel blessed.
So, feel you are blessed.
This is the first step towards the Self.

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'
2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning.
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever... Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud.
Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love ,
whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
8.Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help. Your home is your refuge.
9. Don't take guilt trips.
Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people that you love them, at every opportunity.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
And if you don't send this to at least 8 people - who cares?
But do share this with someone...
We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!

Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle all my
problems at once.
Just for today I will be happy. This assumes to be true what Abraham Lincoln said,
that "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
Just for today I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to
my own desires, I will take my "luck" as it comes, and fit myself to it.
Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn
something useful. I will not be a mental loafer. I will read something that
requires effort, thought and concentration.
Just for today I won't find fault with anything, nor try to improve or regulate
anybody but myself.
Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself, and relax.
Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is
beautiful, and to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give to
me.

When do you appreciate someone? When they do something that is unusual, not ordinary, and not their nature. Isn't it so?
For example, when a wicked person doesn't create a problem then you appreciate them. Or, when somebody you think is not good does a good act, then you appreciate them. Also, when a good person does something extraordinary, then you appreciate them. If a child made you a cup of tea, you would appreciate it, but if a mother made the same cup of tea, you would not likely appreciate it because it is a normal act for her. In the same way, you appreciate getting a ride from someone you don't know, but you don't necessarily appreciate it from a bus driver.
In all these cases, those acts are temporary, out of character, or not their nature. So when you appreciate someone for something, you imply that it is not the way they are usually.

When things go wrong,
as they sometimes will,
When the road your trudging
Seems all uphill,
When the funds are low
And the debts are High ,
And you want to smile,
but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with it's twists an turns,
As everyone of us must sometimes learn
,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it our,
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you cannot quit.

Many times you feel an aversion to people and you don’t know why you feel an aversion. It’s because the feverishness in them pushes you away, pushes you out. When you are devoid of feverishness, all things flow to you.

Use your eyes to see the beauty of life or to see the inside of people...
Do not use them to criticize maliciously of how they look
or dress others or to judge people, only by their appearances.
Use your ears to listen to your neighbor,
and to offer a word of encouragement, nice to hear the sounds,
to help you forget the difficulties, and build up inside.
Do not use as a weapon, or to poison others.
Use your nose to smell the of
flowers, perfume, love...
Not impregnated, odors, such as hatred, selfishness,
betrayal.
Use your taste to savor the triumph achieved your goals,
of achievements with effort and dedication.. .
Do not use for taste, the defeats of others.
Use your touch, to feel and give love to touch people
with your desires positive your charity...
Do not use it to ask unreasonably.
The sixth sense the most important is what gives us wisdom
to distinguish the difference among other ways, between good and evil,
between giving or receiving whether to build or break.
At times we look without seeing, hear without listening,
smell without charge, tested without tasting, touch surface.
Use your senses wisely this is not how many you have,
but how you use them.

When someone blames you, you feel a heavy load on your head, and when you talk about it you spread the unpleasant feeling all around you. At this moment wake up and see you are Being and nothing can touch you. This is all just a drama, which you yourself have created. You have gone through this over and over again. All the blames you face in your life are your own creation. Knowing this, you feel free and light.

When your mind is not complaining, responsible, courageous, confident and hollow and empty you are inexplicably beautiful. A person who cannot correct or act has no right to complain. And when a person can correct or act, he will never complain. Complaining is a sign of weakness. Complaining is the nature of utter ignorance where one does not know the Self. Complaint takes away the Beauty that is inborn in you. And it shows up more on the one who is on this path.
Worldly mind is a complaining mind; Divine mind is a dancing mind. Just complaining without indicating the solution is irresponsibility. When the solutions are not workable, finding alternative solutions is Courage.

When you love something, you have a sense of belongingness with it. You can only love something, because it is belongs to you. If it is not yours, you cannot love it. Love is the shadow of the Self.
The bigger the Self, the bigger the shadow, and the bigger the love.
When the love is cast over the entire creation, then you are the Big Self. That is the Lordship.
When the Lordship dawns on the Self, there is perennial celebration.

Six Principles of a Good Life. Worthwhile follow the steps.
6 (six)PRINCIPLES OF LIFE
No point using limited life to chase unlimited money.
No point earning so much money you cannot live to spend it .
Money is not yours until you spend it.
When you are young, you use your health to chase your wealth ; when you are old, you use your wealth to buy back your health . Difference is that, it is too late .
How happy a man is, is not how much he has but how little he needs .
No point working so hard to provide for the people you have no time to spend with
