There is a universal power that is inside of me, outside of me, and everywhere
in the universe. That power is responsible for everything in the universe. All
the diverse creation is because of this power and that power cares for me. Some
people call it God, some call it something else. But it does not matter what one
calls it. There is a power, there is a spirit. That is so compassionate, and it
is with me and will help me!

What is a sign of the dawning of wisdom?

Pleasant state of mind is a sign. Friendliness, foresight, intuition, a mind in the present moment – these are signs of wisdom.

What you speak about, you can bring about.

If you keep saying you can't stand your job , you might lose your job.
If you keep saying you can't stand your body, your body can become sick.
If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just stop operating.
If you keep saying you're broke, guess what? You'll always be broke.
If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find someone in your life To hurt and betray you.
If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed..
If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, you're very thought will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs.

Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power packed with faith, hope. Believe that you can have what you want and deserve.

Watch your Thoughts, they become words.
Watch your Words, they become actions.
Watch your Habits , they become character.
Watch your Character, for it becomes your Destiny.

The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settle for. Thought I would share this with you.

In the search for Me, I discovered Truth.
In the search for Truth, I discovered Love.
In the search for Love, I discovered GOD.
And in God, I have found Everything.
BE BLESSED !!!!!!!!
Watch how your circumstances and situations begin to change when you change the way you speak.

"Life is like melted butter . . . once things cool down, it can be reshaped!"

Man has a tendency to own things. When he owns something small his mind stays small, his life gets stifled and his whole consciousness is immersed in his house, car, spouse, children and such. A recluse leaves his home and goes far away. There also he starts owning his asana, rosary, books, concepts and his knowledge.

The owning has simply shifted from objects and people to ideas and practices. But a wise one knows that he owns the sun, the moon, the stars, the air, all of space and the Divine in its entirety. When you own something big then your consciousness also expands, and when you own something small then all the small negative emotions start coming up such as anger, greed, etc.

I wonder why people do not feel connected to the sun? The very existence of life depends upon the sun. Perhaps it is the lack of awareness that one refuses to acknowledge and own one’s connectedness to the macro-cosmic universe. The Rishis in ancient India, the Native Americans and the aboriginals from all over the globe have insisted that you can feel connection to the sun, moon and the directions.

When you own something magnanimous your consciousness also becomes magnanimous.

Some of the significant differences between
winning and losing are:

Hanging on, persevering,
WINNING
Letting go, giving up easily,
LOSING

Accepting responsibility for your actions,
WINNING
Always having an excuse for your actions,
LOSING

Taking the initiative,
WINNING
Waiting to be told what to do,
LOSING

Knowing what you want and setting goals to achieve it,
WINNING
Wishing for things, but taking no action,
LOSING

Seeing the big picture, and setting your goals accordingly,
WINNING
Seeing only where you are today,
LOSING

If you want a thing bad enough
To go out and fight for it,
Work day and night for it,
Give up your time and your peace and
your sleep for it

If only desire of it
Makes you quite mad enough
Never to tire of it,
Makes you hold all other things tawdry
and cheap for it

If life seems all empty and useless without it
And all that you scheme and you dream is about it,

If gladly you'll sweat for it,
Fret for it, Plan for it,
Lose all your terror of God or man for it,

If you'll simply go after that thing that you want.
With all your capacity,
Strength and sagacity,
Faith, hope and confidence, stern pertinacity,

If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt,
Nor sickness nor pain
Of body or brain
Can turn you away from the thing that you want,

If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it,
You'll get it!

PostPosted: Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:10 pm    Post subject: Carpenter story Reply with quote

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer/contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."

What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.

So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized, we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project."

Who could say it more clearly? Your life today is the result of your attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

PostPosted: Sun Sep 12, 2010 10:09 am    Post subject: I Appreciate You...... Reply with quote

Dear Friend

I Appreciate You
=================

I recently received an email from a friend. The email only
contained three commonly used and familiar words, yet these
three words from my friend had a different feel. This simple
powerful phrase shook me.

"I appreciate you" is what the email read. I gazed at this short
sentence and read it over and over again. I could feel the
transforming, uplifting power of these three words.

I have been thanked countless times, which is always proper and
in order when someone does something for you. It is simply
showing gratitude or giving credit for something that you are
responsible for.

To appreciate means to recognize the significance, quality, or
magnitude of. (Appreciate freedom) To be fully aware of or
sensitive to; realize: (I appreciate your problems) To be
thankful or show gratitude for: (I appreciate your help) To
admire greatly; value To raise in value or price.

My friend was not appreciating me for something I did or said to
or for him personally or professionally. He was not appreciating
a particular problem that I had or appreciating my help on a
matter.

I appreciate YOU is what the email read. That means I am
appreciated, I am admired greatly, I am valued, and I am raised
in value. He recognizes the significance, quality and magnitude
of me, and who I am. He is thankful and shows gratitude for me.

As I absorbed the power of these three words and allowed them to
penetrate and saturate my inner being, I considered whom the
email was from. One of the many life lessons is to always
consider the message and the source of messages that enter into
your life constantly. Could this be just careless from the hip
speaking? Did he have any idea how powerfully profound and life-
changing this one short statement would be?

Yet, he says to me, "I appreciate you."

That also means YOU (The one reading this issue). Remember the
definition of appreciate. You tend to invest in the things that
you find value in, and he invests heavily in you and me. Our
Heavenly Father also invests heavily in us.

Feel the power of "I APPRECIATE YOU." Tell someone or many, and
mean it.

Dip into your rich resources and invest in them; whatever those
resources may be.
My Friend, I APPRECIATE YOU.

Desires for sense pleasure are electric in nature and they get neutralized as they move towards the objects of senses. If, by your skill, you could move them within you towards the centre of your existence, another dimension of everlasting pleasure, thrill, bliss, and undying love will all be yours. Lust, greed, power and jealousy are also powerful because they are nothing but energy and you are the source of it - the pure electricity. Dedication and devotion keep the purity of your electricity and they move you upward.

Realizing you are pleasure or electricity yourself your craving subsides and serenity dawns. Remembering that you will die makes you alive now, free from cravings and aversions. The wise is always careful not to get entangled and dizzy in the mind.

A smile will give you something to smile about.
Just try it and see.
Offer an encouraging word and suddenly you'll have a reason to be encouraged.
It works every time.

Be positive and you'll have something to be positive about.
Rather than waiting and hoping that something good will come along, be the something good that comes along.

You always have the ability and the opportunity to change the world for the better in your own special way.
Every moment that goes by is a moment you can use to move positively forward,
when you choose to do so.

If the day seems too dark, fill it with the light of your love and laughter.
If life seems too discouraging, give to it your positive energy.

The situation is always ripe for someone to step forward with a positive initiative.
Be that someone, right here, right now, and see how great it can be.
:-):-)

Effort is the key in the relative,

Effortlessness is the key to the Absolute.

Your mind does not belong to you. Don't blame it.

Let the BIG SELF embrace it.

Two Horses !!
Author Unknown

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.

From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse.
But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing....

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.
His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.

This alone is amazing.

If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell.
Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.

Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.
It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two friends,
You'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse,
And that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk
To where the other horse is,
Trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns
To the shelter of the barn each evening,
It stops occasionally and looks back,
Making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses,
God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect
Or because we have problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives
To help us when we are in need..

Sometimes we are the blind horse
Being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.

Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....

Good friends are like that...
You may not always see them, but you know they are always there.

Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.
And remember...

Be kinder than necessary-
Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......

And leave the rest to God!

Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way.

successful life doesn't require that we've done the best, but that we've done our best.

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare. It is because we do not dare that things are difficult.

THE FOUR CANDLES

The Four Candles burned slowly. Their Ambiance was so soft you could hear
them speak...

The first candle said, "I Am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me
lit."

Then Peace's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.

The second candle says, "I Am Faith, but these days, I am no longer
indispensable."

Then Faith's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.

Sadly the third candle spoke, "I Am Love and I haven't the strength to stay
lit any longer." "People put me aside and don't understand my importance.
They even forget to love those who are nearest to them."

And waiting no longer, Love goes out completely.

Suddenly...

A child enters the room and sees the three candles no longer burning.

The child begins to cry, "Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay
lit until the end."

Then the Fourth Candle spoke gently to the little boy, "Don't be afraid, for
I Am Hope, and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles."

With Shining eyes the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three
candles.

Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life.

With Hope, no matter how bad things look and are...Peace, Faith and Love can
Shine Brightly in our lives.

Often your enemies are created not by your action as much as by your tongue, by your words – how you speak, what you speak, what you do. You do this unaware, completely unaware.
