Hello all,

We are all aware that in April there was a court order putting a stay on fresh recuitment in DU until 3% of faculty is PWD and that there was a recent job advert from DU for a special drive to fill these posts.

Apparently there have not been enough applicants and the Delhi colleges are now desperate enough to bend their rules in faculty selection - eg Gargi college is, against their policy, open to recuiting a disable male faculty member ----- read the latest Hindustan times article for more details by clicking here.

For anyone interested in applying for a job in DU this may be the best tie to do so as disabled applicants are like golden sand now and from what I can gather if one is interested and meets basic qualifications they will do whatever they can to recruit a PWD.

Spread the word around - afterall you might know someone who may change his/ her mind & want to join DU faculty !!

Would be glad to know what are the requirements i.e the eligibility, I havent seen the ad anywhere

And are hearing impaired individuals also encouraged in the teaching positions even if they are not mute?
