Moondram Pirai (1983) is a Tamil feature film directed by Balu Mahendra. The cast includes Kamal Hassan, Sridevi, Silk Smitha and Poornam Vishwanathan. The film earned strong critical plaudits upon release, and was also commercially successful. Sridevi's performance was particularly well received, and was expected to win the National Film Award for Best Actress in 1983 for her role in the film, but Kamal Hassan silently won National Film Award for Best Actor award. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Ilaiyaraaja, with songs sung by K.J. Yesudas and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. The soundtrack was also well received.

A young girl (Sridevi) meets with an accident, suffers brain damage and loses her memory. Through devious circumstances she is sold into prostitution but is saved by a kind hearted teacher (Kamal Hassan) who takes her to the country in order to protect her. Eventually the teacher falls in love with the girl, she regains her memory up until the time of her accident and has no recollection of the teacher or his kindness.


The Hindi version of this film is called Sadma.

On the contrary, Bhaskar Banarjeee (Amitabh Bachchan) is a sober doctor, upset with life and the dark reality of his nation. Bhaskar's tête-a-tête with Anand makes him notice the colours behind all the despair and complexity in one's life and teaches him a lesson. After spreading happiness everywhere around himself and changing the lives of many, Anand as destined, leaves them all, which inspires Bhaskar to write a book on his life.

His pregnant wife, played by Rekha, survives the wreck but her son Rohit (played by Hrithik Roshan, who is Rakesh Roshan's son), when born, is developmentally disabled

Pratidwandi or Pratidandi ( Translation - Opponent or Competitor in Bengali) is a 1972 film directed by Satyajit Ray based on the novel by Sunil Gangopadhyay. Set during the period of the naxalite movement in Bengal, Pratidwandi tells the story of Siddharta, an educated middle-class man caught within the turmoils of social unrest. Corruption and unemployment is rampant, and Siddhartha cannot align himself with either his revolutionary activist brother, or career-oriented sister.

I was Pretty impressed by the movie. Once I went Siliguri and Visited Naxalbari on the way to Nepal by car I stopped in Naxalbari and had tea, I just cant belive a revolution started in he shanty village. Well I am a strong Believer In Communism , Still I dont believe in Naxalite M ovement,Guns are not a solution to any problem. Movie is great . A worth watch for the unemployed youngsters

Taare Zameen Par (Hindi: तारे जमीन पर, English translation: Stars on Earth) is a 2007 critically acclaimed Bollywood film directed and produced by veteran Indian actor Aamir Khan about the struggles of a child suffering from dyslexia. The cast includes Darsheel Safary in the main lead who plays the dyslexic child and Aamir Khan who plays the role of the teacher . The film has music by the trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi.

I was pretty impressed with the message of the film.  If we try we are no different from the abled persons. We dont require any sympathy. Yesterday I was in chennai egmore station, my kid told me strictly no wheelchair , then I willed to climb the stairs although the crowd, yes we did, I felt happy to catch the train, although so many stared at my strange walking, I did not mind.

The hug of my kid was worth it

Bill Murray plays Bob Wiley, a very kind but multiphobic obsessive compulsive psychiatric patient who follows his successful and beyond egotistical psychiatrist Dr. Leo Marvin (played by Richard Dreyfuss) on vacation. When the unstable Bob befriends the other members of the Marvin clan, it slowly drives Leo insane.
