What happened to Mr Anubhav is true - Am sure this happens to thousand of Anubhavs with disabilities today in India.
When we manage to get a government job most of us are tempted to take it because of the security it offers.
But what security is that - most people with disabilities including me have faced a lot of harrasement in the work place.
I personally worked in a government organization for close to 4 years as a contract employee, but inspite of my hardwork and dedication - there were a whole lot of employees who could never stand the sight of my achievements - like my Dedication, Determination, Qualifications (I was the most qualified person in that office - there was no one even from the top management above me) but finally they did throw me out by citing some administraitve reasons.
Thank God I was thrown, not a single day was smooth sailing for me there - everyday was so burdensome.
After a few years i was again selected as a clerk in the Navy, but I declined to accept the offer - after I saw the way they conducted the Interviews and tests for people with disabilities. Everything was done in the midst of lots and lots of laughter, as if we were some cheap people with no brains.
I stongly feel that your work place is the area where you are going to spend 90 percent of your life time, and if you are not happy there then in life you will never be happy.
