HI folks!
I am happy being here at this forum since we all are getting lots of useful information and sharing our views too. But I would like to point out one thing witch I have said earlier also that many of us are not participating even at any level on this forum and most of the members are hesitant to interact and get in touch with one another. Well we should at least interact with the people because making a good network, in my opinion, is always advantageous and helpful for everyone and that fulfills the aim of our forum too. A healthy interaction gives us an opportunity to know each other, to share the experiences and off course, to learn something.
Well I was thinking if folks from Delhi and NCR could meet up somewhere in Delhi to celebrate a small new-year party and a get together. This can be done on 30th Dec, that is Sunday.
Would request our moderators and other members to keep their views on my proposal.

A good suggestion, but I don't expect outsiders for example strangers for a party. Thats my opinion.

I remember an incident when a man claiming to be a PWD and started limping asked the authorities at a convention centre to provide him the first few reserved seats. After the meeting I saw him in the railway station walking like a normal person.

I do not want to take chances with outsiders, only forum members could meet.

Being born n brought up in "Amchi Mumbai" I hardly understand 100 percent Malayalam.

Although I spent evenings bowsing the books at flora fountain/church gate and juhu beach and stayed near beach candy hospital and so many places I never picked up Aamchi Mumbai. I like the evening flight to ahmadabad which goes along the coast.

God I miss the pao Bhajee and Gujrati Food

Hi All,

I think this is a wonderfull idea, it will certainly help build a stronger bond and help us all loosen up a bit too, after all how many days in the year do you get the offer of a new years party ;-) Good idea Amit, I remember Thomas had suggested something like this to happen for a long time, but unfortunately the geographical boundaries have denied us of that opportunity so far. I will encourage everyone (at least in delhi and NCR) visiting the forum or recieving the daily digests to comment on their availability on 30th as suggested by Amit. Also if something is planned, I will suggest that details are posted on the forum again for anyone who is traveling to delhi during that time and may be able to join in.

Start putting up your availability folks, this will help in organising the day!

IN doing such a get together, it may help to place it around conferences like say - the BARRIERBREAK conference in FEB. This way those who are travelling for the ocnference can meet on 4th or 5th evening and interact better - and probability of poeple from outside cities participating will be good
