Please notify me if this posting is not according to the specifications.I m just leeting know how the reliance behaves with its cstomers and moreover i want to file a consumer case against them,if any one can guide me on this?
My card number 09359520002
My RSN: RZTCDC000041402
MY CIRCLE:UP[WEST]
MY MODEL:MC315
SKU CODE:CDTZT01Z1
MSN:TC0000001288
I had purchased reliance zte net connect card in Meerut, at the time of purchase I was promised the speed of 128kbps. After using for two to three months I faced the problem of frequent disconnection and slow speed. I lodged the complaint with the reliance, they asked me to upgrade my zte card driver and serviced my card at the authorized center. I had done that but was still facing the problem. On 27jan.07 reliance engineers came to my place and told me I need to update my security patches for windows XP for getting better speed. I checked the Microsoft website, there the had written in FAQ’S that security patches are automatically updated during automatic upgradation .I have also checked with my manufacturers DELL, they are also telling me that I don’t have to update security patches manually. I think this is simple case of cheating the consumer or reliance doesn’t have the require professionals to sought out the problem. Will somebody ask them how much speed can be increased by updating patches, I think hardly 10-20% but I don’t think it can go to 128 kbps from 40-50kbps which I m getting now?
Purchased place:Ajanta infocom,meerut-09319316900
Service of ZTE card: Adonis, sadar bazaar, meerut-0121+3254424
On 3feb.07 customer care head Mr. Deepak called me and told me that your matter will be looked into. On 6feb.07, Mr.Ashish called me and told me to update my driver as they got the list from ZTE in which they had my number and they will contact me in the evening and asked me to check the speed from speedometer. In evening, Mr. Ashutosh called me and I told him that I have done as told by Mr. Ashish but I m getting speed of 23 kbps. He told me that since it is wireless dial up network the average speed is 20-40kbps and it is my fault that I relied the vendor and has not asked about the average speed and total speed. I want to know how come a layman knows the difference between average speed and total speed. For verifying his thing I called one of the reliance infocom web space on 7feb.07, Ajanta Infocom, and asked him average speed and the total speed. he told me that I will be getting the speed of 144kbps.
I request u to kindly take a look in the matter.
Thanking you
Anu jain

Hi M9,
Well though I cant help you with filing a consumer complaint on this one, and I agree you should file one if they promised you something and their product has failed to deliver it but just wanted to say that I also use a Data Card from Airtel and it is supposed to support speeds upto 144kbps, the average speeds that i get are close to 20-30kbps, well the reason for which is that 144kbps is the maximum speed that a data card is capable of (that too under optimum test conditions) and since the network capacity (GPRS) bandwidths in India are not too great and usually shared over GSM Networks the speeds recieved are nominal (like 20-30kbps). There isnt any ready solution for this problem, however it is expected that once the networks improve bandwidths, then better speeds will be possible over GPRS too.
lets hope that happens soon !!
cheers
Sachin

I agree with what u say but my points are:
1>was it not the duty of dealer or company responsibility of letting me know this, the dealer told me that he was using it and aversge speed that i will get is 128 kbps?At the time of purchase of airtel card did u ask them regarding its max,min and average speed?Reli told me that it was my duty to ask.
2>They could have told me when i forst lodged my complaint with them in oct.06 but ten they told me to download update for driver, got serviced my card, download security patches for XP and there is problem in my OS or Laptop and finally when nothing worked out they told me this scrap!!!!Their eng. also visited my place, they didnt told this.
3>in their recent advertisements they r using the word "of" and not "upto" while reffering to speed of the card, wchich according to me makes a diffrence.
4>i had also lodged my complain with TRAI but Reliance nor TRAI is responding.
5>They r claiming the technique as wireless dial up.According to my knowledge in Dial up max theoritical speed is 56 kbps then how they r claiming 144 kbps. They r also using the word "High speed internet access", high speed means 256 kbps i.e. broadband. So they r misrepresenting the facts.
I think its out and out case of cheating the customer and using malpractices, hiding information.
