Can any one tell me what the course Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Research Management is all about. Is this a numerical or non numerical discipline.

Unless I purchase the prospectus I wont know what the course - Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Research Management is about???
You are right - Mumbai Univeristy offers it via distance mode.
But before buying a prospectus i want to know a summary about what this course is about.

sorry, i didnt reply to u earlier to ur point of question.
OR is indeed a numerical discipline. Here is some point abt OR and the same has been taken from wikipedia
Operations research or operational research (OR) is an interdisciplinary science which uses scientific methods like mathematical modeling, statistics, and algorithms to decision making in complex real-world problems which are concerned with coordination and execution of the operations within an organization
Some of the primary tools used by operations researchers are statistics, optimization, stochastics, queueing theory, game theory, graph theory, Decision Analysis, and simulation.
An operations researcher faced with a new problem is expected to determine which techniques are most appropriate given the nature of the system, the goals for improvement, and constraints on time and computing power.
