Dear Webmaster
These days there are many vacancies coming up in the Government as well as in Public undertakings, but all these require candidates to pass the written exams which includes Gen Knowledge, Mathematics etc.
So for the benefit of our differently abled friends I request you to have a section where every week all current affairs, general knowledge topics may be included in this site, so that those who are interested can use it for their benefit.
The same idea I got it from enableall.org website. You could incorporate similar articles here it will benefit many of us.
Hope you will do the needful
Regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,
First of all - many thanks for your suggestions. We want this forum to be user driven and this is only possible with inputs from this community. We will support any feature that the users, visitors and guests desire - afterall this is your forum, your community and therefore, has to suite your needs.
We fully agree with your suggestion of having a section that assists in preparation for employment exams and will try our best to introduce this feature soon.
In the meantime, to enable us to make this new section useful, we welcome suggestions regarding the layout and content for the new section from all users here.
Regards

Hello Mr Thomas,
Although Vikas has already acknowledged your suggestion, I just wanted to update you that we have already started working on it, in fact we want to take it a step further when it comes to imparting knowledge. Instead of a static mode of delivery which is purely question answer format or reading material, we are working on an application which allows users to choose the content and the method of delivery, for example study material can be read online or mock tests can be attempted to evaluate performance. Also users can be offered the flexibility to attempt tests in timed or untimed modes etc. The application can be designed in a creative way to make learning easy, and also interactive so the user has better control. Since we are working on the idea and its going to be technically challenging, it may take us some time to implememt. However as Vikas has already requested, it will be nice if you could give us your suggestions on what subjects/areas should be focussed on initially. Like for instance, in my opinion we can start online educational courses for basic computing, or maybe on how to improve soft skills like communication or how to write a good resume etc. which may be more important to a large user base who maybe weak in these areas.
Awaiting suggestions from all members !
Thanks and Regards

Thanks a lot Vikas and Sachin.
As Shivani suggested in one our discussion - its time that we put our words into actions.
At this moment what I suggest is that - Single handly its going to be little difficult so I stress that a collective effort is essential here.
My opinion is that we create a team - where one person will be given the role to collect the maximum questions along with the answers.
No twp persons will be given the same subject.
These questions along with their respective answers should be forwarded to the Team, let them evaluate the same and then post it on the site.
Interested persons can post the same in MS Word format and a soft copy of the same can be send to the team.
Now I have a PC at home, and weekends are off for me, though I am a bit busy with many other issues, but still I will find my time to do it.
I suggest that the following subecjts need to be covered in depth for all competitive exams - General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Science (Physics. Chemistry, Biology), History, Civics, Geography, Economics, Quantitative Aptitude etc.
Let us start with these subjects first.
Now I agree to prepare Questions and Answers on Civics - another person can take some other subject. With help of books and other references we can collect as many as questions and answers and then compile it and put it on the website.
So together we can do it - Difficult it may sound for some of the members but it certainly is not impossible
So here I am ready now - but please tell me whether my suggestions have been acceptable to you, please dont hestitate to give suggestions and crictisims, both are welcome.
Let me know and then we shall start.
Wishing each and everyone of you all the best.
Warm Regards
Thomas

Dear Thomas,
I think you have suggested a brilliant way of performing the task, while we are working on the content delivery model, it will be really nice if some selected members who would have the time and required knowledge to start collecting the content we would need. Since you have already volunteered to start collecting content for CIVICS, we invite more members to contribute useful content on others subject matters, and the subject matter could be academic of non acedemic.
I suggest that instead of directing members to prepare content on specific subjects, we seek all interested members to send in content of their liking and expertise, like for instance some may have great computing skills, so maybe they can send content on basic computing (MS OFFICE etc), or maybe someone has great communication skills then they can send something for imrpoving basic communications, while others could send content on more academic subjects. One more thing, the content may not be only aimed at preparing for competitive exams but could also be more like simple tips, like facing job interviews, letter writing, resume writing, business communication etc.
The idea is to create effective content which helps everyone to gain knowledge and confidence.
Please add where you feel I may have missed out, and more importantly please start collecting the content on CIVICS as you advised, this way we will start with something, while we organise the rest.
Something like this is the need of the hour, we will develop this into a full scale portal as it grows and keep adding to content. The information collected by everyone will be accessible at one place and in a way which makes it as interesting and useful as possible, we hope efforts like this will make this community the most envied community ever !!
All members are encouraged to respond, lets make this happen !!
Thanks
Sachin
PS: Anyone interested in volunteering for content please respond to this post or just email me at sachin@accessability.co.in
