My dear friends,
     
This is Raghavan P K from Chennai greeting you. I am in my fifties.

It gives me great comfort to be in this Forum. The moment I read the India Beats column by Madhu Gurung in The Hindu Magazine section my sagging spirit got rejuvenated. I am a deaf man for the past 5 years now. My efforts to form a group for the people having handicaps were not met with any encouragement or success. Communication was the biggest hurdle for a deaf.

The difference between you and me is that while I rue the life and career I lost, members and Moderators of Ability Forum is showing the world that “TOGETHER WE CAN”. That synergized resources will be one of the best that our nation would see from this community.

Coming back to the introduction part let me tell you that a surgery for Sinusitis is the genesis of my hearing loss. I have put my story in the following link of Hear-it.Org.
